‘I’m a celebrity get me out of here’ had 12.69 million viewers for the seasons opening episode in 2019.

Big Brother-mostly 45-54-year olds with 70% of the viewers being women and audiences typically being from the lower classes.

The Masked Singer, which sees celebrities singing anonymously behind outlandish costumes, drew an average audience of 5.5 million viewers.

It went head-to-head with The Greatest Dancer, which attracted 3.2 million.

The second episode of The Masked Singer was shown on Sunday, when its figures dropped to 4.2 million.

Overnight figures count how many people watched the shows live and on ITV+1, before catch-up viewing is included.

This represents a fall of 1.5 million, or 15%, on last year’s opener, which peaked at 10 million.

Strictly, which aired between 7pm and 9.20pm, averaged 7.7 million viewers, compared with an average of 8.9 million the previous year. This is a 13.5% year-on-year decrease, with audience share falling to 44.9% from 47.3%.
