These are two test posters I have made to test out the layout I have planned so far. For this poster I like the way the phone is positioned in the frame and the facial expression on the subjects face in the photo. I'm not sure if I like the purple border around the picture, along with where the slogan is positioned at the top, as viewers might mistake that for the title of the show. For this poster I like the subjects hands and how they are reached out in front as if they are trying ti get back the laptop that has been taken away from them. Again I don't like where the slogan is, as people might mistake it as the title of the show. I might change the layout again and not have the purple border around the picture, and change the font of the title and slogan. I want to keep the purple within the poster to relate it to E4, and show that it is being shown on E4. I also need to add when the show is coming out and what time the show is on, so that viewers now ...

My Reality TV Show I took inspiration from reality tv shows such as, “The Island” and “Man vs Wild”. I wanted to base my show around a survival type thing where people have to complete a series of challenges to gain points or get out of somewhere where they are trapped.

Why do people watch reality tv? For many people it allows them to fantasize about gaining status through automatic fame. Many people will watch these reality tv shows and imagine how they could become famous by being on these shows. The fact that millions of people are watching all these reality tv shows means that the contestants are important, the the viewers want to see what happens to them next. People who have been on these reality tv shows have capitalized on their own short-term celebrity: if these ordinary people can become famous, that means anyone can rise to fame. The point of reality TV is to act as Entertainment, it is done so under the pretence of reality, and is fake in the sense that it is often dramatised or subjectively represented. The act of calling it reality gives interest to an audience and therefore an incentive to watch, which leads to views and profit. The poster has a clear title in all capital letters telling you that this is an important show and hat the name is an important part of the show.  The background is black, which contrasts the red title which helps it stand out. It has a very formal font, which shows that the target audience is for an older audience (teens and middle-aged women). The women in the photo have their heads held high, and their posture is very elegant and shows they have power. The image is bigger than the font showing that the people in the image are going to be a main part of the show. The poster is quite simple, and doesn’t have a date for when the show will be on, or what viewing channel it’s on. This poster just seems to be to showcase the show and what it’s called, just giving people a small taste of what is going to be in the show and what it is called, which could mean that the creator of the show want the target audience to keep an eye on updates of the show, like when it’s goin...
